I really like this! I was searching for poems by a poet I care for--Martha Baird--and came upon your site, which has one of my favorite poems by her: "Do Not Make Things Too Easy." I'd like you to know of another of my favorites, and I'm including it here.

To the Gentlemen, by Martha Baird (from Nice Deity, 1955)

Someone should explain to the gentlemen
That a lady need not look like a frump
To have a mind.
A lady is born with a certain bone structure,
Which, if it is rather good or not,
Is neither credit nor blame to her.
She is likewise born with possibilities of mind,
Which, if she develops, are lovelier to her
And more cherished than her bones.
Ladies can have a lot of fun
Making fools of gentlemen who do not understand
    this.
Someone really should explain it
To the gentlemen.
